Ida Tornabene

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of the late Ida Tornabene on September 3, 2026, at the age of 93 years old. Born on February 10, 1933, in Campoforito, Palermo, Sicily, Italy, to parents Luigi and Marianna Trobia.

Ida was a woman of strength, independence and grace. She carried with her a deep love for her Sicilian roots, family traditions and, above all, her family. She will be remembered for her warmth, her beautiful sense of style, her love of cooking and the many traditions she lovingly passed down through the generations. She found great joy in being a mother and Nonna, and her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart. Her home was a place of family, food, laughter and memories that will be cherished forever.

Ida is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Umberto, as well as her siblings Carmalina, Salvatore, Michele, Annina and Salvina.

Beloved mother to Maurizio (Christina) and Giovanna (Massimo). Beloved Nonna to Sophia, Robert, Samantha, Christina, Vanessa (William), Nicholas (Lauren) and especially Miss Lady. Ida is survived by her beloved brother Michele (Laura) in Italy.
