It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Iolanda Di Domenico, cherished matriarch, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who peacefully passed away in her 100th year.
Iolanda was born in Castiglione di Carovilli, Isernia, Italy, where she learned the values of hard work, generosity, and love — virtues she carried with her throughout her life.
Iolanda was the heart of her family, a woman whose warmth and unending devotion made every home she touched brighter and fuller. The meals she prepared brought people together, filled hearts, and created memories that will be cherished forever. She took great pride in keeping her home a place of comfort, laughter, and love, and her tireless care ensured that everyone who walked through her door felt welcome and cherished.
To Iolanda, family was everything. She dedicated her life to nurturing and providing for those she loved, sharing stories and traditions that honored their heritage and brought joy to all. Whether it was tending to her garden, sharing tales from her youth, echoed the spirit of Italy, Iolanda brought light and happiness to those around her.
Iolanda’s legacy is carried on by her children; Maria (Late Pasquale) and Nick (Catherine), grandchildren; Giuseppina, Gino (Pia), Fiorella (Daniel), Nicholas, and Jacob, and great-grandchildren; Gianmarco and Bianca, who will always remember her laughter, her kind smile, and her boundless love. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Fiorino (1998), who was the love of her life. Predeceased by her siblings; Ida (Stefano), Filomena (Giuseppe), Domenico, Stefano, and Nicola (Maria). She will be missed by her brothers Mario (Rosa) and Vittorio (Rosa), as well her sister-in-law, Maria.
Her many nieces and nephews will hold her memory dear to their hearts.
In her 100 years, Iolanda taught us the true meaning of common understanding, devotion, and joy. While her presence will be dearly missed, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in each of us, as we continue to honor her legacy through our actions, our love, and the stories we share.
