Jack Hajer

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jack Hajer from this life into the arms of the Lord. Jack passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, at Centenary Hospital, Scarborough, at the age of 84.

Jack was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Erika (Mayer), with whom he recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on June 8, 2026 - a remarkable milestone that reflected the lifetime of commitment and love. He was a beloved father of Martha (predeceased), Carolyn and Michael. He was also a loving grandfather and a proud great-grandfather.

Jack worked as an auto mechanic, a trade he took great pride in, known for his strong work ethic. He was always ready to help others. Outside of work, Jack loved spending time on his boat, where he found a piece of happiness and a sense of freedom.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Erika, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild as well as his sister, Anne. He was predeceased by his brothers, Ewalt and Manfred and is now reunited with his daughter, Martha and other loved ones who have went before him.

A memorial service will be held to honour Jack's life at Jerrett Funeral Home - 660 Kennedy Road on Monday, June 29, 2026.

Visitation will begin at 12 pm, followed by the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Scott Mission, Salvation Army, or a charity of your choice in memory of Jack

Though he is no longer with us, Jack's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
