Jacqueline was born in the rural francophone community of Balmoral New Brunswick on January 14, 1931. She was predeceased by her ‘one of kind’ husband Albert; a loving mother to sons Al (Sherry), Dan (predeceased) (Marilyn), Jeff, and Gary (Angela); proud ‘mémère’ to eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the daughter of Clara (Arseneau) and Leo Godin; sister to Nicole (Jean) Paulin, and predeceased by her siblings Aline (Worry) Jones, Lola (Pamphele) Pelletier, Blanche (Benoit) Poirier, Shirley (Alphonse) Boissonneault and Herby (Celine); aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was active in her church and community; long-time parishioner at St. Maria Goretti; member of the church choir and Catholic Women’s League; manager of a ladies’ fashion store; 20-year volunteer at Scarborough General Hospital.
Jacqueline will be fondly remembered for her outgoing spirit, love for music and parties, talking with everyone, telling her stories; all with an unrelenting positive outlook on life even in difficult times.
