Jane Winnifred Howell

Dearest family and friends, we are going to need your prayers more than ever now. Sick with sadness, we are devastated to inform you that our beautiful sweet Jane took a turn for the worst. Following a brief but valiant and courageous battle she succumbed to complications from surgery. She was rushed to St. Mikes, where on Saturday, August 15th at 3:33 pm she passed away. Jane is survived by her loving husband, high school sweetheart and best friend Jimmy. Together for 60 years, and married just shy of 54. Loving, and cherished mother to Jessica (Cam) and Julia (Kevin). Nana to Abigail (Lucas), Madeleine (Lachlan) Carrie, Sophie, and Eli, beloved brother of David and Sister in Law Patricia.

We are lost and shattered and trying to manage life without our guiding light.

To know her was to love her. Her caring and kind spirit was contagious, it was impossible to be anything but happy when in her presence.

It is difficult to comprehend this loss but are comforted to know she has been reunited with her parents, Harry and Winnifred Watson, her best friend of 50+ years Annie and her beloved Soul Dog, Dodger.

Jane had countless close friends who she considered to be family, who will also be missing her dearly.

In memory of our sweet Jane, please spread a little kindness today, smile at a stranger, hug your family and always count your blessings. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Jane's memory to St. Michael's Hospital.
