I cannot believe that you have left us. It was quite a shock when I heard. 
Always thought you had fought valiantly and were doing swimmingly well; until I heard you were gone.

I am at a loss for words.

I thought that Jeff was doing really well and was very pleased for him. He did some travelling and I thought he was back and thriving.

Then, I get a message from a work colleague saying that he passed away and I was completely in shock.

I worked with Jeff. He was such a jovial person with a great sense of humour. He used to have me in stitches. He was straight forward and matter of fact. Qualities I really liked about him.

I am saddened that he is no longer with us. Rest in peace Jeff. I will miss you and your funny antidotes. You were a light in the workplace.

Jeff and I became best friends the minute we met, on the first day of college.  Honestly he was the funniest person I ever knew.  It is sad to lose such an old friend, but I'm am glad he won in the end;  he has escaped from suffering.

To those of you who sat vigil over Jeff and took such great care to make his last few days filled only with love, we thank you and salute you.  You are all heroes.  We will miss his razor sharp wit and his desire to make laughing a priority.  Jeff perfected publicly making fun of his own pitfalls.  I will miss our foodie talks and his assistance in the kitchen when the Anderson Clan gathered.  Sending love and healing hugs to Kevin, Lloyd, Alma, Jane, Joe, Marina, and Simon.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Please send my condolences to Jeff's family as well.  I will always remember Jeff as a very kind and caring person.  Godspeed
