Predeceased by his parents Melbourne and Eva (Comeau), loving wife Fran (Wagner) of 70 years, and leaving behind his loving daughters Gail (John), Lynda (Lloyd), very proud grandfather of 5 grandchildren, Jason (Maureen), Adrian (Mandy), Renee (Doug), Stephanie , Christopher, and 5 great grandchildren. Brother to predeceased, Florence, Archie, Desire, Ben, Edith , Arthur and Bernadette.
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and all the friends and neighbours he met along the way.
Over his lifetime he had worked many different jobs: carpentry, picking fruit, logging in the bush, railway, stockyard loading cattle, painting homes, and his long career at DeHavilland aircraft spray painting planes until he retired.
He always enjoyed sports, baseball, hockey, golf, horseshoes and he was a competitive boxer in his younger years. Exercise was always in the background. He never owned a car but loved to walk everywhere he could. Body building started at a young age and continued to a week before he passed. Fishing, hunting and gardening kept him busy over the years.
He was always up for a visit from anyone who would drop in, sharing in stories and jokes. Anyone you talk to will tell you his strongest strength was being a great listener, he made people feel important.
He had a strong love of family far and near which he shared with his wife and daughters. What great adventures we all had, during those summer vacations to Abrams River, Nova Scotia. He was always ready for music and dancing in the kitchen farm house. He will be greatly missed.
