Passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2015 in her 83rd year. Predeceased by loving husband Thomas, and Brothers Don, Stan and Bruce. Survived by two sisters Ruth and Dorothy, and sister-in-law Elsa. Loving Mother to Tom (Rose), Rick (Phyllis), and Gord (Cindy). Wonderful Grandma to Thomas, Mackenzie, Andrew, Geoffrey (Hailey), Lisa, Tyler (Amanda), Brandon, and Jordan. Joan will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Joan was an active member of St. John’s Norway Anglican Church for over 50 years. She was also an active member of the 91st Ladies Scouting Group Auxiliary for over 30 years. A Visitation will be held at GIFFEN-MACK FUNERAL HOME (2570 Danforth Ave. Toronto, Ontario, 416-698-3121) on Monday, October 12th, 2015 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A Funeral service will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church (470 Woodbine Ave., Toronto, ON, 416-691-4560) on Tuesday, October 13th, 2015 at 11:00 am.
