So sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. Know that she was more than just a special friend to her next door neighbour Dorine. She was a ray of sunshine and a source of inspiration for our mom who now lives with us in Thornhill. May God bless you and may His grace comfort and console you at this difficult time.

I am very sad with the passing of Mrs. Lingard and will really miss seeing her.  She was a sweetheart!  I hardly heard her complain at all about anything during the 4 years she lived at The Dunfield.  She loved all of you so much and missed you terribly when you were away.  When I mentioned grandchildren or great-grandchildren, her face would light up.  
Please accept my apologies for not paying my respects in person.  I have been without my car since last Friday and hope to have access to it this evening.

My condolences to Joan's family for their loss.  I volunteered with Joan on the information desk at NYGH for about 15 years every Thursday afternoon.  I was the youngster of the group and learned so much from all those fine ladies, especially Joan.  Several years ago I had the pleasure of seeing her again at Sunnybrook Veterans' Centre; I was visiting my dad and she, of course, was on her daily visit to her husband. She told me about her move from the condo to Dunfield, I believe.  She was a wonderful, warm and caring person who faced life's challenges in such a common sense way.
