Joe Carini

9 May, 197731 August, 2020

Giuseppe Alfonso Carini, known to everyone as Joe, was born on May 9, 1977 and passed away on August 31, 2020.

Beloved son of the late Cesare and Rosa, brother of Monica (Jeff), uncle of Gabriele (“little buddy”) and Carina and most important proud father of daughter Vanessa (“Pumpkin”).

He was kind, reserved and also very stubborn. He never took off his baseball cap. From the time he was a child he enjoyed playing and watching sports. He often got quite heated when one of his favourite sports teams lost a game. He loved a good Italian meal. He was passionate about his newly acquired BMW which no one could get too close to. He drove his family crazy but he knew he was loved. The greatest joy in his life was his “Pumpkin”.

He spoke fondly of his buddies, especially his best friend, Peter and his kind co-workers at Loblaws where he worked for many years.

Although he was taken from us to soon, he would not want us to be sad for now he is at peace.

Non ci posso credere ancora che non sei qui con noi. Troppo giovane per andartene. Abbiamo dei belli ricordi anche cuando eri bambino. Ora sei un Angelo nel cielo con mamma e papa. Ci mancherai tanto.

Riposa in Pace,

First, I would like to thank everyone for their kind words about Joe. All of your words made me laugh and cry....sometimes at the same time.

Joe, like everyone else I still cannot believe this has happened. I will probably feel like this for a long time.

Anyone who knew us, knew that we fought like cats and dogs. No one could make my blood boil quite like you, but today my heart is broken. There is so much to say and yet I have no words....so I will just leave you with a couple of Joeisms:

"Can you do me a favour?"

"What's the big deal?"

And my personal favorite:
"Can we talk about this later?"

I'm glad we had a really nice summer together. I will always remember it. I promise to take care of your "Pumpkin".

See you up there!

Dear Joe:

Hey dude I can't believe I'm writing this!. I honestly thought you would of been the last man standing out of everyone.
I must say this last summer was one of the best summer's we shared with the kids, BBQ's in the backyard, African Lion Safari, Sleep overs, Roller blading in the park and going to the pool. The kids had an amazing time. We laughed, we played, we ate some good food (at least we did, the kids just had chicken nuggets and french fries). The kids will be talking about the good times they had with you for the rest of their lives.
Often times we don't understand God's plan and why he does what he does, but one thing is for sure It will always work out in the end.
RIP bro !!
Your spirit will always be with us.

Joe...where do I begin...I remember the first few days when you and your family moved in. You and Monica sitting on your verandah watching us play ball hockey just outside your driveway. We asked you if you would like to play hockey and you said Yes! That was the beginning of a life long friendship. Your family became a part of our family and vice versa. I will greatly miss you my friend. RIP!!

Joe was such an amazing person. Always friendly and always there to lift me up at work. Loblaw. He confided with me so very often about how much he loved his daughter Vanessa. I never had the privilege of meeting her. But Vanessa I want you to KNOW and ALWAYS REMEMBER. Your father was an amazing person loved by so so many people. Every parent/person are not perfect by any means . Please beautiful Vanessa remember your dad loves you more than he could express. He loved you to the moon and back. Remember him with a 🙂 smile. He loved you.
I am going to miss my friend so dearly.
My condolences to Joe's family. 🙏
