You will be missed I have thought of you many times over the years I remember you lived in my basement for a short period.  Back then you were two smokes and a Mars bar before you got out of bed kind of guy but then you made some major changes and it looks like you had a wonderful life my condolences to your family rest in peace thanks for your service and your friendship.

I am shocked. I served with Johann in Esquimalt we also used to go ride together on our motorcycle. We lost touch after he left the Navy. My sincere condolences to his family and friends

Johann and I went through basic training together, our environmental training, our trades training, we taught at our trade school together, we sailed together. His smile lit up  the room. If he was around everyone was laughing. We lost touch a year after he left the Navy. What I wouldn't give to get a big bear hug from him and have a beer and some laughs. The world is lesser without him. My condolences to his Mom and Sister. May his memory forever bless all who knew him.

Johann, brother from another mother we would say to each other. Remember when Granny would give us money to grab cheese cake. We would share it sitting on the curb talking about silly stuff. Gonna miss the late night phone calls saying we should go back to Guyana to go fishing and hunting. Shared a lot of amazing memories with you. Acting like we were GI Joe. One of my fondest memories was watching you sitting like a little prince in your stroller as your nanny took you for one of your daily walks back when we lived Guyana. It always warmed my heart as you passed by my house. Then your family moved to Canada and it was such a sad time for me. Then I joined you there and we developed a special bond. You were a kind, loving and adorable boy. After I moved to America, I have such wonderful memories of the times you and your sisters would come to visit. My only regret is that life got in the way and we lost touch for a while. I’m so glad we had a chance to reconnect when I visited Canada not so long ago. It was like we never parted. I remember how you hugged me and told me how much you loved me. I’m so sorry our time together has been cut short. Know that you will always hold a special place in my heart. I love you my dearest nephew. May you rest in peace.

I remember countless memories growing up with you in Coral Springs, Florida. We were forever outside building forts and playing games. Your smile and laugh were contagious, and you were always up for a fun time! My last memory of you was visiting you in Canada with my family. Although our connection was years passed, the hearing of  your untimely passing still saddens me.  I do remember us as little kids and I'm sure Jacks has many pictures of us together! My prayer is that you rest in peace. For the family,  I hope you find comfort in your memories and smile as you remember Johann.

I have many fond memories of you, dear cousin.   We were best buds as toddlers and terrorized your old neighbourhood lighting cherry bombs in the park behind your house and shooting each other with BB guns as pre teens with our siblings and cousins. 
We had some fun times together 
I will never forget almost losing you years ago and visiting you in Ottawa, it was a scary time but your strength and perseverance got you through. 
I will miss your surprise visits at work and our coffee dates.  You always had the most hilarious stories, infectious laugh and beautiful smile.

    I'll always remember like it was yesterday, when you spent time with me here in Jacksonville. We had lots of fun visiting the Navy Base, and looking at all the Navy Airplanes and ships. We had a great Time. You told me that you were thinking about joining  the Navy. A few years later you  sent me a picture  in your  uniform. I was so proud. You looked so good! Later when I found out what happened to you I was shocked. Life is crazy. I'll always remember your smile, and your good nature.Our Thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time!


Johann, you had a smile that is simply impossible to forget, a laugh that was contagious and a heart of Gold.  You were a man to admire and look up too and for me you'll always be my big brother. I'll never forget your awesome dance moves and I hope they have some model airplanes to keep you busy up there, I remember those use to be your favourite growing up.
