John Michael Dowling

John was able to celebrate his 69th birthday just days before he passed.

John was born in Birmingham, England to his Irish Parents Mary and Christopher.

John is now reunited with his beloved mother, Mary Dowling, who predeceased him in 2021.

A devoted and loving father, John leaves behind his cherished children, Jason and Danielle Dowling. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Samantha and Aidan, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his dear siblings, Tony ( Carol ) and Edel Amos (Mike). Devoted uncle to Amanda, Brittany, Michelle and Sean.

John had a love for bowling in his younger days and was on a few teams. John also loved his Toronto Maple Leafs and The Toronto Blue Jays.

John’s love for his family was unmatched. He treasured every moment spent with those he loved and will be remembered for his kindness, devotion, strength, and unwavering commitment to family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Forever in our hearts, always remembered, and never forgotten.

A Celebration of John’s life will be held at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home 2570 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M4C 1L3 on Thursday June 18, 2026 from 12-1PM and service in the chapel at 1PM.
