Born December 3, 1924 in Blenheim, Ontario. Died July 12, 2011 in Toronto, Ontario. Predeceased by his son Robert Hornby and his daughter Carol Ann Hornby. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Gilda Marie Hornby, daughter Michele Hornby-O’Donnell, granddaughter Alexandra O’Donnell and daughter in law Olivia Penner. John was an exceptional man, devoted father, husband and friend. A memorial service will be held at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough, ON, on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 12pm with a time of visitation to start at 11am.
