SAFELY HOME

I am home in Heaven dear ones.

Oh, so happy and so bright,

There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over.

Every restless tossing passed.

I am now at peace forever;

Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly trod the valley of the shade?

Oh! but Jesus’ love illumed every dark and fearful glade;

And He came Himself to meet me, in that way so hard to tread,

And with Jesus’ arm to lean on, could I have one doubt or dread.

Then you must not grieve so sorely, for I love you dearly still.

Try to look beyond earth’s shadow, pray to trust Our Father’s Will.

When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home.

Oh, the rapture of that meeting, Oh the joy to see you come.

Passed away peacefully on August 5, 2015 at the age of 71 in Toronto. Beloved partner of Peggy. Loving father of Stephane, Lisa, Pearl, Loriann, Johnny and Sherry. Cherished grandfather of 21 grandchildren. John will be missed by all. Visitation to be held in the GIFFEN-MACK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2570 Danforth Ave., (at Main St. subway station), 416-698-3121, on Saturday, August 8th, 2015 from 5-9 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 9th at 10:00 A.M. in the Giffen-Mack Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sick Kids Foundation is appreciated.
