It is with great sadness, the family of Joyce Beadle (nee Mitchell) shares news of the passing of their loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. After a long battle with Alzheimer’s, that debilitated her body but never her spirit, Joyce died peacefully in her sleep at the Ina Grafton Gage home in Scarborough. God’s loving presence was evident until the end.
Joyce was born in Mysen, Norway while her parents were on homeland furlough from their missionary service with The Salvation Army in India. A nurse by profession, Joyce touched the lives of endless people with her loving, caring ways that were deeply rooted in her relationship with Jesus. She was a faithful and active soldier of The Salvation Army.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband Brian (2015) and is survived by her four children, Chris (Linda) Beadle, Tim (Heather) Beadle, Simon (Valerie) Beadle, and Alison (Graham) Moore, twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
We rejoice that Joyce has been set free from her earthly body and now dwells in the presence of her Lord and Saviour, enjoying a reunion with loved ones who have gone on before.
Until we meet again.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in honour of Joyce to The Salvation Army Scarborough Citadel Corps, 2011 Lawrence Avenue E. Scarborough ON, M1R 2Z2.
