In May 1951 She was born into a big family in Flat Rock, St. George. For primary school she attended St. George , and her secondary education was completed at Modern High School. She immigrated to Canada in August 1974, and married her fiancée Alwyn Gilkes in 1975. Judy will be lovingly remembered by her ex husband, Alwyn; son Andre, Brother Henderson ( Colin), Sister Oakley and numerous family members and her friends; both in Barbados and Canada.
Judy was predeceased by her parents, Joshua and Sylvia; siblings, Esther, Clyde, Samuel, Golda; and her infant daughter, Ayesha(Stephanie)
A visitation for Judy will be held Friday, December 20, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Paul's on-the-Hill Anglican Church 882 Kingston Rd, Pickering, ON L1V 1A8
Memorial Donations in Judy’s name may be made to the St. Paul's on-the-Hill Anglican Church 882 Kingston Rd, Pickering, ON L1V 1A8 where she was a long time valued parishioner.
