She was born August 18, 1974 in Nantes (France) to Guy and Chantal Le Maitour.
She graduated in 1996 from the University of Nantes (English & Literature) and in 2000 from Leicester University (PGCE)
Her love of children and learning led her to become a teacher and she worked for several years at Wilnecote School (Tamworth, UK) and for 10 years at Sunnybrook School (Toronto, ON)
Julie loved reading, travelling, movies but foremost she was deeply commited to her family; Marc (spouse) and her children Ewan and Aislinn.
Throughout her life, she lived in various countries and made many friends who she stayed in touch with throughout the years.
Whoever knew her, was touched by her warmth, generosity and humor.
The family welcomes donations to Sunnybrook hospital as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
