June Barbara Turcotte

June found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a special love for cats, whose companionship brought her comfort and happiness, and she found peace in nature, especially while taking quiet walks outdoors. Above all, June's greatest treasure was her family. Lovingly known as "Granny"—even to those who weren't technically her grandchildren—she had a remarkable way of making everyone feel loved and welcomed. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for those around her will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

June is now reunited with her beloved husband, Louis Turcotte, and her cherished children, Richard Turcotte and Shelley Pett.

She leaves behind her loving children, Michael Turcotte (Sue), John Turcotte (Lisa) and Robert Turcotte (Jackie). She will also be fondly remembered by her caring son-in-law, Andrew Pett.

June's memory will live on through her adored grandchildren: Crystal, Robert, David, Bryan, Jeffrey, Michelle, Jeremy, Emily, Jennifer, Michael, Alexandra, Ava, Aaden, Christopher, Samantha, and Nicholas, as well as her 19 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate and dedicated staff at Chester Village Long Term Care Home for the exceptional care they provided over the past five years. Your kindness, empathy, and unwavering support brought our family more comfort and peace of mind than words can express.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jerrett Funeral Homes – Scarborough Chapel (416-266-4404). Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 10 am to 12 pm, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 12pm.

June had a special place in her heart for all animals, especially cats. It was rare to see her without her beloved "cat bag" by her side. In keeping with her love of animals, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local animal shelter or to the Toronto Humane Society in June's memory. Such a gesture would mean the world to June.
