Karen Linda Smith

Beloved ex-wife of the late Richard (Rick) Alvin Smith, common-law partner to Robert (Rob) Woods.

Beloved mother to Richard (Rick) and Shawn Smith.

Beloved grandmother to Dillon Smith, Savanna Smith, Haley Smith and Ashley Myers.

Loving daughter of the late Florella Weare and the late Wilson Corkum.

Born in Toronto on December 26, 1951, Karen was a twin, one of two sets of twins in her large family of 14 siblings.

Raising her two sons by herself, Karen went to night school where through hard work and perseverance, she received her High School Diploma. From there she worked at McDonald's for 15+ years. Through the same hard work, her picture was constantly posted on the wall as Employee of the Month.

Karen's love for the Beatles, laughter, smile and unwavering love she had for her sons and grandchildren will be forever remembered. Karen will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4C1L3, CA, on May 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a funeral service to occur at 12:00 pm and burial at Beechwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date.
