Kathleen Marie Larabee

Kathleen was a vibrant and beautiful spirit whose boundless love, infectious laugh, and radiant smile brought warmth and joy into the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born in Toronto on September 28th, 1962, Kathleen made many memories throughout her life, but her heart would always belong to Banff, Alberta. It was there that she made some of her happiest and most cherished memories. She never lost her love for the mountains, and reminiscing about the beauty of Banff could always bring a special light to her eyes. No matter where life took her, a piece of her heart would always remain there.

Above all else, Kathleen was a devoted mother. Being a mother was one of the greatest joys and most important parts of her life. She loved her children, Katelynn Persaud (Brian) and Kyle Baldwin (Alyssa), with her whole heart. She was caring, thoughtful, protective, encouraging, and endlessly supportive. She was the kind of mother who would always answer the phone, always listen, and always find a way to be there. Her children knew that no matter what life brought their way, they had a mother who loved them unconditionally and would stand beside them through it all.

Kathleen had an extraordinary capacity for giving. She was the person who would help someone else even when she didn't have much to give herself. She often put the needs and happiness of others ahead of her own, never expecting anything in return. She gave her time, her love, her encouragement, and whatever she could offer, simply because she cared. Even when she knew that the same kindness might never be returned to her, Kathleen continued to show up for the people she loved. That was simply who she was. Her heart was generous, and she never wanted someone she cared about to feel alone or unsupported.

Becoming a grandmother brought Kathleen another kind of joy. She adored her grandson, Jensen Persaud, and was fiercely proud of him. She looked forward to watching him grow and treasured every moment she had with him. Her love for Jensen was deep and unconditional, and she will forever be a part of the memories and stories he grows up hearing.

Kathleen found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved coloring, enjoying an Ice Cap, listening to her favorite music, including Blue Rodeo and The Best of Bread, watching Coronation Street and old movies, and reminiscing about the places and moments that meant the most to her. A woman who loved all things sparkly, she delighted in jewelry, makeup, and treating herself to a fresh set of press on nails. She had a wonderful ability to find little moments of happiness, and she brought her own special sparkle wherever she went.

Kathleen was also deeply devoted to Neil Baldwin, the love of her life. Their bond and the life they shared were an important part of her story, and he held a very special place in her heart.

Her love extended beyond her immediate family. She cherished her nieces and nephews and her extended family, always taking an interest in their lives and wanting the best for them. She created connections that will continue to live on through the people she loved.

Kathleen was predeceased by her mother, Julie-Ann Larabee; her father, Jack Larabee; her brothers, Richard Larabee and Jack Larabee; and her sister, Debra Larabee.

She leaves behind her beloved Neil, her children Katelynn and Kyle, grandson Jensen, sister Jackie, brothers James and John, as well as her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Kathleen will be remembered for her enormous heart, her unwavering love for her family, her generosity, her kindness, her laughter, and her ability to make the people around her feel cared for. She gave so much of herself to others, often asking for nothing in return.

For Katelynn and Kyle, she wasn't simply their mother. She was their safe place, their biggest supporter, and someone whose love they could always count on. For Jensen, she was the grandmother who adored him and couldn't wait to watch the little boy she loved so fiercely grow into the person he would become.

Her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled. But her love will remain—in her children, in her grandson, in the family she cherished, in the memories of Banff, in the music she loved, in the laughter she shared, and in every person whose life she touched.

Kathleen's warmth, kindness, laughter, and sparkle will be deeply missed. She was loved more than words can express, and she will be carried in our hearts for the rest of our lives.

Visitation will be held at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON, M4C1L3, CA, on September 18, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at 3:00 pm
