Kostantinos was born in Petra, Lesvos, Greece on October 30th, 1944 to his parents Yianni & Polixenh Pavouris. Kosta grew up with four older siblings, Nikos, Stratis, Michael and Roxanne. In 1963, he went on a pursuit to live a better life in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada along side his brother Stratis. He then later married his beautiful wife Maria Findanis in Greece in 1969. They both decided to reside in Toronto, Canada where he was an employee of Toronto City Hall for 30 years. He went on to have two children John, born in 1970 and Paola, born in 1972. Kosta's eldest son John, then married Panagiota Georgopoulos and welcomed his beautiful, beloved grand-daughter, Anastasia Pavouris in 2012. Truth be told...anyone who ever met Kosta, otherwise known as Gus, never forgot his infectious laugh and passion for life.
He was a hard working, devoted, joyful, loving man who would do anything and everything for his family.
In his spare time he was a collector of coins & stamps, an avid gardener, enjoyed watching national geographic, shark programs and just absolutely loved his Greek music and any kind of comedy. Gus's personality brought warmth and joy to everyone he encountered and his passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him. Gus's memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who were honored to have had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those around him with his kindheartedness, generosity and unforgettable spirit.
