LEONARD GERALD THORNE Passed away suddenly but peacefully with his wife Joy by his side at home on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the age of 65. Born in Bishop's Falls, Newfoundland, he was the son of the late Louis and Carmen Thorne. Predeceased by brothers Winston, Bonnell and Arthur. Survived by his wife Joy, daughter Marlene (Tony) and son Michael and three granddaughters Chelsea, Lindsay and Chloe. Survived by brothers Lou, Wallace, Bram and Andy and sisters Ruth, Ivy and Laura. Len will be held in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough (between Eglinton and St. Clair Aves. E.) on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, January 27, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 6 p.m. in the Jerrett Funeral Home Chapel.
