Predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Peter Chiu, Linda is survived by her children Kristen, Geoffrey, and Yuen (Steve Lane). and her “most loved” grandchildren Thomas, Kevin and David, who will deeply miss their Ama.
Linda was born in Hsinchu,Taiwan where she met her husband and started a family. They moved to the United States where Peter completed his MBA. The family subsequently permanently settled in Toronto. Linda continued to raise her family while pursuing a career in the family-owned travel agency. She was an active member of the Taiwanese Canadian Women’s Association in Toronto and the Toronto Formosan Presbyterian Church. In her retirement Linda enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family, in particular with her grandchildren
We will forever miss mom’s beautiful smile, endless curiosity, her creativity and her resourcefulness. Her ability to whip up a five course meal out of nothing continues to amaze us. She will be forever remembered for her fierce love for her family, her adventurous spirit, and zest to live life to the fullest.
Visitation will be held at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON, M4C1L3, CA, on September 14, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location on September 14, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
