Lisa was the beloved daughter of Betty and John Currie and was born in Toronto, Ontario, on January 19, 1962. She graduated with honours from Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Richard, Brandon, and Bryon, and by Colleen, whom she welcomed into her heart as a daughter. Lisa was supported in her role of grandmother to Kai and Brady Lush.
She is also survived by her sisters Colleen (Ken), children Jamie, Kristi and Adam. Patti (John), children Matthew, Mark and Luke, and Kelly, children Chris, Bryan and David; her brother Steven (June), children Michael and Jeffrey and of course dear friends.
Lisa had a kind and generous heart that touched everyone she met. She adored her beloved hamster, Josie, and enjoyed visiting the library to borrow books and reading her favorite Stephen King novels. She loved singing her Karaoke. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially going out for pizza or Greek food with Brandon, Richard and Colleen. Her warmth, compassion, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Avenue, Toronto. Following the visitation, family and friends are invited to gather at The Event Bar & Grill, 2856 Danforth Avenue, to continue celebrating Lisa's life and share memories together.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lisa's memory are greatly appreciated to help support the planting of a memorial tree and assist her children with memorial expenses.
