

September 4, 1921 – April 4, 2012
It is with great sadness that the family of Lois Roberts announces her passing on April 4, 2012. Lois was in her 91st year and was a very giving and loving woman. She spent her life devoted to raising her family and caring for other children as well over the years through volunteer work at the Church of the Epiphany Nursery School and Ionview Public School. She was a grandmother to all and was loved by everyone who met her. Lois is predeceased by her husband George Roberts. Lois leaves behind her daughter Dianne Rogers, her granddaughter Lorie Blundon and her husband John, her granddaughter Denise Rogers and her great grandchildren Wesley, Rebecca, Ellie and Layla. She is predeceased by her parents Lawrie and Jessie McDonald. Lois was a volunteer for over 25 years at Ionview Public School. Lois and George were married in 1943 and bought their first home in 1952 on Rensburg Drive in Scarborough where she lived until 2009 when she moved to Brooklin to live with her granddaughter and her family. Special thanks to our amazing palliative care team: our amazing angel nurse Cindy Piggott, Dr. Lyn Boorman, Dr. Caroline McAllister, Brenda Derdaele, Melanie and our other personal support workers from ProHome Health Services. Thank you to our friends and family who supported us during this very difficult time. An extra special thank you to Luella Cail, Caroline Monsell and Nancy Joice.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough, on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 4-8pm. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial at Pine Hills Cemetery.
