OBITUARY

Louis Cheong Wah Siu

2 April, 1952 – 18 November, 2024
IN THE CARE OF

Giffen-Mack and Trull Funeral Home

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Louis Cheong Wah Siu a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left us unexpectedly at the age of 72 on November 18, 2024 in Toronto, Canada, following a sudden illness.

Born in Hong Kong, Louis moved to Canada where he created a life rich in love, wisdom, and adventure. He was a man of deep thought, a passionate reader who spent countless hours immersing himself in books on world history, philosophy, and business affairs. His love of knowledge was matched only by his enthusiasm for lively discussions, particularly about global issues, which he shared with those lucky enough to engage him in conversation.

A true foodie, Louis adored the culinary arts, from cooking to trying new food, which brought family and friends together. He was also an explorer at heart, he found joy in discovering new places and cultures throughout his worldwide travels.

Louis also was a loyal sports fan and dedicated supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays. Whether having the games broadcasted in the background or being at the actual game, he would cheer wholeheartedly doning his baseball cap.

Louis was married to his loving wife, Anita for over 41 wonderful years. Together, they built a home full of warmth, laughter, and unwavering love. Louis was a devoted father to his children, Cheuk Hei (Winnie) and Cheuk Ying (Hardeep) and a doting grandfather to his grandson Caleb, who brought him immense joy and energy.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and from the many lives he touched with his kindness, curiosity, and generosity. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
