Lucy is survived by her sister Mildred Murphy (Peter d.) of St. John's NL, and her brother Robert Bruce (Dolores d.) of Oakville ON and many nieces and nephews in Ontario, Newfoundland and New Brunswick.
Lucy is predeceased by her parents William and Mary Bruce, Long Harbour NL, her sisters Mary Nolan (Simon d.), Laura Power, and Nora Bruce, brothers Ambrose (Mary d.), Wilfred (Magdalene d.) and Gordon (Monnie d.) and nephews Donald Bruce and Edward Nolan.
The hallmarks of a Lucy’s life were her strong faith, commitment to family and lifetime friendships. Lucy took great pride and enjoyment spending time visiting family, especially her many nieces and nephews across this beautiful country. She always went out of her way celebrating many milestone events either in person, sending heartfelt card and a pleasant phone call.
Lucy shared her love and dedication of family unconditionally. She never gave up an opportunity to shop for nieces and nephews including second and third generation, little ones. Utilizing the street cars and subway she could be found everywhere in the city shopping, going to shows or enjoying a nice dinner and a glass of wine with dear friends.
Lucy graced this world for 93 years and will be remembered as a very special aunt, sister and friend, who lived a life of significance impacting everyone on her journey with kindness, love, grace and dignity. The world is a little less without her but that much better because of her. She will be deeply missed.
