Margaret passed away in Calgary on Saturday October 29, 2022 after a brief illness. She lived a wonderful life and loved her pets (cats and dogs).
Margaret had a Masters in Science with a focus in microbiology. She was one of those people who mastered the balance between right and left brain activities. She was able to explain scientific things for everyone to easily understand and, at the same time was able to sew, knit, crochet and do other needlework. She loved music and learned to play the piano.
She lived in Florida for over 30 years, operating her own ground water environmental testing laboratory. She was admired by her peers and employees for her dedication to keeping ground water safe. She was named Business Person of the Year a few times by Polk County Business Association in Florida for mentoring young women who were entrepreneurs. She never wanted to retire but a stroke forced her into retirement in 2019.
At 5 foot 3 inches tall, she was a powerhouse!
Margaret will be sadly missed by her siblings Savitri, Doreen, Jeff, Gloria (Howard), Chris (Geeta), David (Robert), and many nephews and nieces.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home, 467 Sherbourne St., Toronto, ON on Tuesday November 8th from 6 - 8 pm.
