Maria came with Antonio in 1960 from Portugal, the Azores. Hard worker alongside Antonio to make a better living in Canada. This would have been their 70th year of marriage. She was always a proud Canadian and loved Canada Day. It was her best holiday of the year. She was a loving wife to Antonio, a loving mother to her children, David, Lucia (Angelo deceased), Tony (Judy), Filomena (Remington) and Mary (Eddie). A loving grandmother to Linda (Jessey), Paul (Shirley), Sarah, Bradley, Briana and Kayla. A loving great-grandmother to Ava and Aiden. She was warm, loving and very proud of her family and husband. We will miss her beautiful smile, her laughter and her dry humour God bless her always.
Our family is so grateful to Michael Garron Hospital and the special staff at the Palliative care unit on the 5th floor. They took great of our sweet loving mother .
