Marie Theresa Collins

Marie Collins passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, at the remarkable age of 101. Born on April 8, 1925, Marie blessed this world for over a century with her kind spirit, unwavering faith, and generous love.

Marie carried a warmth that brightened every room she entered. She possessed a rare and beautiful gift for making every single person she met feel genuinely cared for — to know Marie was to feel truly loved. As a deeply faithful woman, her life was a living testament to her beliefs, and it brings her family great comfort to know that she has been called home to God.

Marie's life was a beautiful tapestry of adventure, joy, and laughter. Her love for music shone brightly during her years singing with the Sweet Adelines, and her travels took her on incredible journeys around the world. Yet, no matter how far she traveled, Marie was always happiest in the company of her family and friends. Her family will forever cherish memories of gatherings in the living room on Merrian Road, summers at the trailer in Port Perry, and the simple joy of weekly bingo games in her later years.

Marie is now reunited with her beloved husband, Jack; her cherished son, Michael; her dear parents, Norman and May; and her siblings, Peggy, Stan, Maron, Gerard, and Carrol.

Her legacy of unconditional love lives on in the hearts of her children, Catherine, Paul, and Patricia. She was the most wonderful "Nana" to Jennifer, Kevin, Sean, Michelle, Lee, and Brett, and a cherished "Gigi" to her great-grandchildren, Emily, Collin, Evan, Kaley, Dean, Hudson, and Blair. Marie will be forever remembered and deeply missed by the many friends and extended family members whose lives she so beautifully touched.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, ON M1K2B5, CA, on July 24, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Memorial Mass will be held at Presentation Manor , 61 Fairfax Cres., Scarborough, Ontario M1L 1Z7, on July 25, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow service.
