November 2, 1937 – October 12, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mariette Popowich on October 12, 2026, just three weeks shy of her 89th birthday.
Mariette was the beloved wife of the late Peter Popowich, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. She was a loving mother to Debbie (Thierry Pageault), Gary (Maria), Carole, and David (Litsa), and a proud grandmother to Catherine, Christophe, Nicholas, and Michael.
Born to Ferdinand and Eva Ayotte, Mariette was predeceased by her eight siblings: Hélène, Clémence, Blanche, Jean-Louis, Liliane, Denis, Rolande, and Claude.
Mariette had a great love for live music and was always happy to enjoy a game of bingo. These were among the simple pleasures that brought her joy throughout her life and will bring fond memories to those who knew her.
Above all, Mariette cherished her family and the many memories they shared together. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mariette's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
