Marjorie Jean Smith

Marjorie was a loving mother to Denna, Ronnie, Ted, John ( wife Giselle), and James Smith (affectionately known as “Boo”) (partner Kim). She was a proud grandmother to Dionne (husband Brad), Johnny, Stephanie, Ron (partner Kourtney), Molly, Drayden, and (Dylan), She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Hunter, Emma, Taliyah, Taejon, Paisley, and Kane. She is also lovingly remembered by her best friend, Gerry, who was truly part of the family, along with Gerry’s children.

Marjorie was born in East York, Ontario, and later moved to Toronto, where she became a well-known and beloved member of the Regent Park community. She made many lifelong friendships and enjoyed spending time outdoors with friends and family. Marjorie had a love for bingo, outdoor games , and was a devoted fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, passions that brought her joy and connection throughout her life.

Funeral arrangements will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Giffen- Mack & Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m with a service to follow at 12:00 p.m.

Marjorie will be remembered for her warmth, her love of family and community, and the many lives she touched over her 97 years.
