Mrs. Mary Louise Burkart Armstrong

Passed away peacefully at the Toronto Grace Hospital on Friday August 23, 2013, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late T. George Armstrong. Dearly loved mother of Brian Armstrong (Heather) of Alliston and Ginny (Gerald Day) of Toronto. Predeceased by her daughter Marilyn Freer. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Mary and Robert (Cindy) Armstrong, Kelly Roberts (Peter Lovering), Drew (Meghan) and Timothy Paton, Christine and Carolyn Armstrong, as well as her great grandchildren Sydney, Braedon and Nicholas Armstrong, Carson and Molly Paton, Austin and Sadie Lovering. Mary is survived by her brother Bryan Burkart. Predeceased by her brothers Bruce, Bill, Jack and Philip. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Mary was a proud Honorary Life Member of the Lambton Golf & Country Club, as well as a member of the Canadian Ladies Senior Golf, and also an active member of the "Monday Bridge Club". Friends may call at the TRULL “NORTH TORONTO” FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2704 Yonge St. (5 blocks south of Lawrence Ave) on Tuesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at the ST. CLEMENT’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, (Duplex Ave at Briar Hill Ave.) at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. If desired, in memoriam donations may be made to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation. The family extends their sincere thanks to The Claremont Retirement Home and the wonderful care givers and staff that attended to Mum over the last five years of her life.
