Mary Betty Elizabeth Barringer Burton

On April 20th, 2012, in her 89th year, Betty passed away peacefully with her children at her side. She was the light of our lives, an unending source of love, warmth and humour. She was predeceased by many with whom she shared an enormous love, especially her first husband, Tommy Brioux, daughter Debbie, daughter-in-law Robyn, parents Bill and Mildred Barringer, and siblings Dorothy, Bill and Jack. She is survived by her loving husband, James Burton, and her children Susan (Skip), Judy (Neal), Joan (Mark), Tom (Lynn), and Tricia (Dave) Brioux. She was a beloved grandmother to Kate, Tom, Jake, Emma, Matt, Josh, Rachael, Ally, Laura, Nissa (Gi) and Daniel, and great-grandmother to Dante and Drea. She will be greatly missed by her extended Burton family: Keith, Jenny & family, Brent, Paulette & family, and especially David and Nadia. Friends may call at the Trull "North Toronto" Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 2704 Yonge St, (5 blocks south of Lawrence Ave.) on Wednesday, April 25th, from 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 26th, at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, (Yonge St. south of Lawrence Ave.), followed by interment at Mount Hope Cemetery.
