It is with love and gratitude for a life that we announce the passing of Mary Josephine Hilts, who passed away in Toronto on August 1, 2026, at the age of 100. Mary was born in Toronto on September 24, 1925, and spent her life surrounded by family, friends.
Mary will be dearly missed by her loving children, Susan and Randy (late Maureen). She was a cherished grandmother to Susan and Steven, and a proud and devoted great-grandmother to Henry and Levi.
Mary is now reunited with her beloved family members who passed before her, a reunion she would have welcomed with open arms.
She found happiness in life's simple pleasures, especially solving puzzles of every kind. Whether it was a challenging jigsaw puzzle, a word search, or a spirited game of Scrabble, Mary loved keeping her mind active and could happily spend hours completing her favorite puzzles.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, treasured memories, and the reminder to find joy in the simple things.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
