To my Mom:

MANMAN, TOUDE, my Mom, my friend, my counselor, my doctor, my confident, my love, my everything after my God who is eternally the FIRST:
You are One kind of a mother! You are unique! You are the true portrait of the love described in 1 Corinthians 13. I thank God for your exemplary life. We, your 8 children can rightfully say that you are: a marvelous piece of bread that God shares and multiplies among your children and each one of us has the entire piece. You are so beautiful inside and outside. You have taught us how to share because that is what we have seen you do throughout your whole life. You never live your life for yourself. (Ou pate gen anyen pou ou sèlman). we have always seen you share everything you had even to the point of great sacrifices. I personally cannot recall you had any enemy, but you always stand up for your children. One of the most important things that we learned from you is your love for God. You never got up in the morning and you never went to bed at night without seeking you and praying. Many of the songs I know, I learned them from you. 

TOUDE, a book cannot be enough to write about your life. I have so much to say about you, TOUDE! As a wife, you mastered the home. As a mother, you were loving and caring. As a friend, you were always our confident, our guide and counselor. You loved us so much that each one of your children can say:"I was her preferred."
As a person, you were so strong that you've fought this terrible Alzheimer's disease for 11 years! Even though you have forgotten our names, but you always recognized who we are for you! I will never forget the beautiful, sincere and charming smile you used to have on your gracious face every time I came to see you. Life circumstances kept me away from being with you on a daily basis over the past several years. Fortunately, we were always in each other's heart and mind and we both rejoiced every time we spoke on the phone and every time we shared precious moments together in each other's presence. Also when we were unable to be together, I was at peace knowing that you had all my loving and caring brothers and sisters around you. I promise you that when I miss you, I will put my hands over my chest, close my eyes and remember that you are eternally rejoicing in the glorious presence of our Lord Jesus Christ!
I will never thank you enough for your matchless mother's love, the love you engraved on my heart and that I have been passing onto my children. No, I will never thank you enough for the love you showed to all of my friends (the ones you approved, of course!)
You wished to die peacefully in an atmosphere of worship and prayers, the Lord granted it to you. You were surrounded by all of your loving children and grandchildren, singing and praying for you when you were about to depart just as you wanted it. Although your last weeks with us were tough for you, you have passed on peacefully, and you were looking more beautiful and gracious than ever.
MAN, I love you and I always will, but I know for sure that our common Lord, and Creator and Savior, loves you with an unsearchable love. He called you home, and His will have been done for you!

That terrible Alzheimer's may have taken your mind, but not your soul! Rest in peace, sweet mother! Until we meet again!

To my beautiful mother Mathilde, I thank you for all you've done for me from the age of four till now.  I owe you my life.  I consider myself to be the luckiest person in this world for having the privilege to have you as as my caregiver for so many years.  You are the most caring, loving, beautiful, strong, generous and proud woman I know.

L'Eternel a donné, l'Eternel a repris.  Que son nom soit béni!  This was the most comforting phrase I heard from Beaudelaire when my sister Madith passed a few years ago.  I never forget that and today I return the favour to the Guerrier family.  Toute was one of the most wonderful persons I ever met, she was a Caring mother, a Sensitive Grandmother and a good friend with a great sense of humour.  She will always be within your heart and the many others that loved her and as close as a beautiful memory.   To you all I say hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends and family for strength, and always remember how much you are loved.

We are deeply touched by the passing of Mrs. ZA whose caracter, courage, valiance and example we all have admired.  We share the heartbreaking griefs of the family and we, hereby, express our deepest sympathies towards every member of the said family. We love Mrs. Za but the Lord infinitely loves her and has called her onto Him.  "The LORD gave, the LORD takes away; blessed be the name of the LORD." (Job 1:21). Therefore, let's take heart! Let's be courageous!
