It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maureen Murphy on September 11, 2026, after a brief battle with cancer at age 73.
She was a devoted daughter to her parents, the late Vince and Pam Murphy.
Maureen was a loving sister to her brother Micheal and a caring sister-in-law to both Sue Murphy and Lorraine Kidd. She adored her niece Katy Murphy and nephew Kyle Murphy and his wife Kate and cherished her great-niece, Rory.
Maureen’s long friendships with those that she worked with at Manulife, her school friends at Loretto Abbey, and all those she met along the way in her life from childhood and later in life are a tribute to her extraordinary caring nature. She will be missed by all of us.
Family and friends are invited to a service to celebrate Maureen’s life at Rosar Morrison Funeral Home, 467 Sherbourne St, Toronto, ON M4X 1E9.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 17th, from 10 am followed by a service in the chapel at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Maureen, donations may be made to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, Arthritis Society of Canada and the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
