When I think about Max, I remember two things, first, His love of BBQ cooking. Who knew that you could burn 7 skins off a chicken. Second, His bithday,July 15 was always a national holiday.

I am having difficulty expressing all my thoughts and emotions towards my brother, Max. He replaced a void in my life, after my husband Fred, passed away. For this, I am grateful for all the many laughs we shared...and many heartfelt disagreements (all in fun of course). He became my best friend during this time and always will be in my thoughts. Dear Uncle Max's Family,

While I have not been in touch with your loved one for a long time, but do hear from Aunt Pearl periodically.  I remember before I was married to have stayed with Uncle Max and Aunt Bess when all of you were ssssssssssssooooo small; however, we managed to get a visit to Niagara Falls - what an awesome day!!  We have to thank our God that he is now free from pain and suffering and certainly to know that he has now joined the one he loved dearly (Aunt Bess).  We feel your loss as we have gone down that road, but am comforted that he is now in the nearer presence of our Lord.

Larry, Linda, Lorie, Aunt Dot & Families,

While we have not seen Uncle Max for a long time, but have heard through Aunt Pearl over the years.  I did spend some time with the family before I married and, in fact, Uncle Max and Aunt Bess were the first to introduce me to Niagara Falls - what a wonderful visit!  We share your loss at this time, but rejoice that the Lord, in His wisdom, took him home free from pain and suffering. He is now reunited with Aunt Bess who he loved dearly.  May God strengthen all of you in the days ahead.

It is with heartfelt sadness that I learned of the passing of Uncle Max, and I extend my deepest sympathies to all of you.  His picture reminds me so much of Grandfather Morgan and Uncle Doug, and you will be happy to know that our brother, Larry, shares his genes!

I learned of Max's passing from my brother in Laws wife who received a call from Larry. He was looking for the connection to Sandy Cove and he sure did find it. 
As a child I fondly remember Max and Bessie coming to our house on Warden Avenue. The fun and laughs that they had are cherished memories of my childhood in Toronto.
May we remember his love of family, wit and humor and of course his love for Newfoundland.

Please accept our condolences on the death of Uncle Max. I didn't see him much since we seldom visit Toronto but I remember his and Aunt Bessie's kindness to me when I stayed in Totonto for 6 weeks in the early 70s. I have a lasting memory of him with all his sisters and brother Doug when they all met at Grandfather Morgan's house in 1980. What a time they had and what salt beef and cabbage got scarfed down during those few days.
We see aunt Bessies sister, Clara every Sunday in church.

Dear Max
I have known you since I was 6 months old.  I never really had grandparents growing up, but you and Bess were always there for me, treating me like one of the grandkids. I am so grateful to have had you in my life, I will miss you.

It's with a tear in my eye that I write this and as I put my thoughts to paper, I can't help but smile.  Max you've left me with great memories.  As a kid growing up, the Morgan's household was as much a home to me as my own.  Max would be there helping us in whatever endeavour we were up to,  building cross bows  and hoping we didn't get into trouble with them, telling a joke or sharing a favourite saying with his wonderful newfie flare.  Wish I could be there, Love Jeff.

You were by far the best father-in-law in the entire world. You were a kind and gentle soul.  Thank you for loving me, laughing with me and believing in me. This world will not be the same without you.  I am so happy that I got a chance to share my life with you.  I didn't want you to leave, but God needed you to come home. I will miss you so much.
