Muriel McLaren

It is with deep sadness that the family of Muriel McLaren announces her passing at Sunnybrook Hospital on September 24th, 2013 in her 94th year. Predeceased by her parents Bessie McLaren (nee Marshall) and Peter McLaren. Survived by her brother Charles (June), sister Marjorie Jones (Merlyn). Cherished Aunt to Eric Jones (Linda), Valerie Jones, Shon Froese (Harold), Peter McLaren (Cindy), Bruce McLaren, Janice McLaren (Stephen), and her great-nephew Richard.

Muriel was proud to be an Executive Secretary to the CEO of Toronto Harbour Front, and retired from the Court of Canadian Citizenship in 1984. She was also a 40 year volunteer at Sunnybrook Veterans Hospital.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Muriel’s Life will be held at a later date in St. Catharines, ON.
