Dear Lidia and Steve, our sincerest heartfelt condolences to you both and your families, especially your dear mother who has lost her life-long partner of 69 years.

Your dad was the smiling and welcoming face of Exeter Street. I still remember when we had just moved onto the street as newlyweds with big hopes for our first home and how both your dad and your uncle Frank welcomed us.  In the summer, we could always count everyday on your dad to be sitting on his porch smiling, waving and welcoming us home from work.  Often when I was working in my garden, he would cross the street and come talk to me.  We would have some good laughs and often we would just talk about things in life.  It is so hard to believe that it has been 36 years since we were welcomed by your dad's kind and smiling face.  He will be greatly missed but may he rest in peace in heaven because he truly was an angel on earth.

When we moved in next to Nilo and Siria, almost 18 years ago, they welcomed us immediately with their warm smiles and friendship.

My husband enjoyed talking with Nilo and listening to his stories. We thoroughly enjoyed his sharp wit and wicked sense of humour. He was a humble and gentle man who was not only a wonderful neighbour but an exceptional friend. He is profoundly missed but will always be fondly remembered.

We were very sorry to hear of the passing of your wonderful father.  Nilo was a very special person and I really enjoyed the intelligent conversations we would have when he would visit my father to watch the soccer game of the week.   Nilo was always very curious about my life and my job and his warmth was endearing and engaging.  

The world is a sadder place without Nilo in it, but we are happy to know that he is no longer suffering, is at peace and with family and enjoying some special time with his buddy Chico!  

Nilo you were truly a gift to this earth and we were blessed to know you.  Sending our love and prayers to the family and for the repose of Nilo's beautiful soul.
