Noboru was born in Vancouver BC. His Father Tokobei and mother Shizu Sasaki, twin bother Min and sister Tosha all moved to Ottawa where he met my Mother Ruth. where they married in 1949. They moved to Toronto where they settled.
My Dad was a very talented Commercial artist. His twin brother worked side by side with my him at Peoples Credit Jewelers until the company went digital. Then moved to Grand and Tandy until they both retired. Many in the family asked my father to draw portraits in his spare time which he loving did .My father and his brother played baseball in younger years. Dad loved to bowl, and loved the Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leaf's and Scratch tickets. always seen with his radio listening to games
He loved fine cars and every couple of years we would all gather in the driveway to see what new beauty he had brought home! We took many family trips together and always remember stopping for a picnic lunch on our way to Ottawa .And a restaurant where there was a live bear at the entrance.
Always seen sitting at the head of the table where he would be scratching his tickets, winning many put a smile on his sweet face. Their home was always opened to relatives and many friends .Who were treated to wonderful meals prepared by our mother. No one left our home hungry. My dad had a sweet tooth and deserts were always on hand. We celebrated many Birthdays, Holidays and Any days! We all had friends that called our parents their second mom and dad. As soon as anyone's last bite was done my dad would be there to scoop up the plates and washed them every night! Much to his daughters delight.
Dad passed on April 14/21 at our home on Ferris Rd of 69 years. With our loving sister Teri by his side, Who cared for him for many years as well as our mother before him. She dedicated her life to them with a heart full of love.
