Norma Kimberley Broomer, beloved mother to 2 children, passed away after a short battle with lung cancer on July 31, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
She was born on October 10, 1963 in Toronto, Ontario to Eleanor and George Broomer. Norma was an outgoing person who lived vivaciously. She enjoyed weekends at the trailer, quiet nights at home with her true crime documentaries, and spending time with her family and friends. Norma was always someone who was unapologetically herself and until the end, she maintained her humor, wit, and love of family and friends.
Norma was a devoted mother to Jack and Anna, her pride and joy. She always said that her children were her world, and they felt that in the love and support she provided. Norma took special joy in being a mother who fought for her children (whether they asked for it or not). She was someone her children could turn to no matter what and will continue to be a guiding light for long after.
Norma is now at peace with her mother Eleanor, her father George, and her sister Tracy. Norma will continue to live on in her daughter Anna and son Jack as well as her grandchildren Ayden, Anthony, Auston, Jack jr., and Jace. She will be remember by her brother George, sister in law Anna, and nephews George jr. and Justin. She will also be missed by her partner Fred and their loved ones Sasha, Glen, Faith, Patience, Landon, Bella, and Glen jr. These nearest and dearest along with many friends and extended family members will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home (2570 Danforth Ave) starting at 11am for visitation and 1pm for service.
We find comfort in knowing that Mom’s legacy continues to live on in the lessons she taught us, the love she shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
