OBITUARY

Oreste De Luca

In loving memory of Oreste De Luca, born on November 18, 1936 in Zungoli, Avellino, Campagna, Italy and passed away peacefully on November 22, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the age of 83 years.

He is the beloved husband of Maria for 55 years. Loving father of Costantino (Rosa Giovinazzo) and Lucia. Cherished Nonno of Adam and Matthew. He will be deeply missed by his sister Amelia, his brother Cresenzo and wife Carmela, and his sister-in-law Dora. Oreste will be forever remembered by his adopted son Albert and his adopted grandchildren Melinda and Tristan. Predeceased by his parents Costantino and Carmella De Luca, brother Luigi, sister Maria (brother in law Anthony). He will be forever loved and missed by all of his family in Canada and Italy.

Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (1 block east of Dufferin) on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 2-4pm & 6-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 10am at St. Nicholas of Bari Catholic Church, 1277 St. Clair Ave. W. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery, 5830 Bathurst St. (north of Finch Ave).

If desired, donations in Memory of Oreste De Luca may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.

I’ll always remember he would see me and say hey boss. I would always say I’m not the boss you are the boss. It always brought the biggest smile to my face. Once in awhile if you were lucky he would come over and sing Italian songs that would make anybody’s day as it did for me. Will always miss you boss.
