ORMA CHARLOTTE HOPKINS (nee SMALL) October 5, 1921 to April 3, 2014 Orma Hopkins, 92, of Toronto, passed away at home on April 3, 2014. Born in Fergus, Ontario, in 1921. The only child of Thomas and Edith Small. Orma moved to Toronto and worked for the Consumers Gas Company at Front and Simcoe. Orma and William met at an outdoor dance at the Sunnyside Amusement Park and were married at St. Andrew's Church in Fergus, Ontario . Loving wife for 63 years to William (Bud) Walter Hopkins, mother of Linda, Thom, Arline and Deborrah. A longtime member of the Calvary Church Associated Gospel Churches, Orma was a very active volunteer at the church, Nisbet Lodge and the Yonge Street Mission. Her annual Strawberry Social held in the backyard was a memorable event for many. A private service for the immediate family with arrangements entrusted to Trull Funeral Home on the Danforth. Flowers gratefully declined; donations to the Yonge Street Mission or the Children's Wish Foundation in Orma's memory would be appreciated.
