

Passed away peacefully at Scarborough Extendicare at the age of 82 after a valiant 7-year battle with illness. He will always be loved and fondly remembered with a smile on his face as a devoted husband of 64 years to Glenna Ronson (nee Rielley); Father to Stephen (Carol); Grandpa to Paul, Laura, and Stephanie; Brother to Don Ronson; Brother (in-law) to Melvyn Rielley; Uncle to many nieces and nephews; and his extended family and friends. Predeceased by his mother Grace Pascoe and his sister Lois. Captain Paul Ronson (retired) was active for 35 years as a proud member of the Toronto Fire Department, protecting people and property, serving primarily at Halls 7, 17, 5 and concluding his dedicated service in 1992, on the William Lyon MacKenzie Fireboat in Toronto Harbour. He enjoyed cottage life at Canal Lake, travelling with Glenna and was passionate about golf, bowling and family. Paul’s life will be honoured with a Funeral Service at JERRETT FUNERAL HOME, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough, on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 1 p.m. A visitation to be held prior from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The family wishes to thank the many PSWs (especially Rose) who attended to Paul at home and the dedicated staff at Scarborough Extendicare for the excellent care and comfort provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Pascoe Food Bank.
