Paul was born on November 25,1968 in Edmonton Alberta to his parents Patrick and Kathryn Murphy (predeceased). Paul was also predeceased by his sister, Rita Stannard and his partner Jim Weatherston.
He is survived by sister Kathleen Murphy (Matthew Ward), his niece Abigail Melgard. and his uncle Guy Doyon.
Paul was a patron of the arts; he enjoyed German Opera and live theatre. He donated generously to the AGO, TSO, Canadian Opera Company, TIFF and Soulpepper Theatre Company. Paul had a tremendous thirst for knowledge and Philosophy; he knew the answers to any question that was put to him. He was an avid world traveler.
Paul will be missed by his extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4C1L3, CA, on October 26, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at the same location, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
