With great sadness, we announce the passing of Pauline (nee Downing) on January 16, 2015. Polly lived a wonderful 91 years filled with love and joy. Beloved wife of Gord. Loving mother of Nancy (Peter) Law and Carol (Frank) Mee. Proud grandmother of Brian (Lisa), Andrew, Andrea, Laura, and Stephen. Great grandmother of Joshua, Rex and Breanne. Sister of the late Robert and David Downing and the Newton family. Toronto General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1945. Member of St. Paul's United Church. Visitation to be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Jerrett Funeral Home (660 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough) from 12 pm - 1 pm. Funeral Service to follow in Funeral Home Chapel at 1 pm. Private burial. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Society.
