

Paulo Ramalho was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Paulo will be remembered as an outstanding individual.
Paulo was born on September 12, 1969 at Hospital of Caldas da Rainha in Caladas da Rainha, Portugal. He was the son of Jose and Carminda Ramalho. Paulo grew up in Caladas da Rainha, Portugal.
Paulo was raised with four siblings. He had an older brother Ze, an older sister Mena and two younger sisters Rosa and half sister Joana. Paulo was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young boy, Paulo had a number of interests. Like most children, he enjoyed playing and making up games. He was curious about the world around him and was often eager to explore it. Paulo was an active child who took part in soccer. He was a member of a marching band. In his spare time he liked to read cowboy books and Disney books. Paulo's memorable achievements included becoming a firefighter in Portugal. However, to Paulo, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with his friends.
Always considered a “good” friend to those he knew, Paulo enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during his lifetime. While growing up, some of his best friends were Pedro, Toze, Anabela, Ana, and Bill. Later in life, he became friends with Alex and Florenda.
On October 16, 1999 Paulo exchanged wedding vows with Christina Cabral at City Hall of Toronto, Ontario. Empathic and loyal, Paulo was committed to making his new family happy.
Paulo worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Paulo was blessed with two, a daughter Veronica and a son Joshua.
Fortunately, Paulo enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Paulo worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was a cement finisher. He was employed for ninteen years servicing local 183. Paulo always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Paulo enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were reading ang playing video games. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Paulo found pleasure in sports. Recreational sports included soccer. Paulo was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite events whenever he had the chance to do so. Tops on his list were soccer, hockey and boxing.
Paulo's faith was important to him. He was a member of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church for 8 years.
Had not yet had the chance to go on any vacations, but would someday be able to go back to Portugal to visit his brother and two sisters.
Paulo was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. One of his favorites was Jack Russel Mix's. They were best friends for three years and counting. Oreo and Cookie will miss Paulo very much. His family was rounded out by a variety of other pets.
Paulo passed away on April 16, 2008 at home in Toronto. The cause is still unknown. He is survived by his wife Christina, his children Veronica and Joshua, his brother Ze, sisters Mena and Rosa, uncle Carlo and aunt Linda. Services were held at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church. Paulo was laid to rest in Beechwood Cemetery.
Simply stated, Paulo was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Paulo leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Paulo Ramalho.
