Peter Selvam "Selva" Anthonipillai

Peter Selvam “Selva” Anthonipillai, 55, passed away on May 19, 2015 in Toronto, Ontario with his family by his side. Peter was born in Vavuniya, Sri Lanka on Seprember 26, 1959 to the late Anthonipillai Mariampillai and Rosamma Anthonipillai. He moved to Toronto, Ontario with his sisters and father at the age of 26, where they established Ambika Jewellers, a family business. In 1991, he opened his first location in Mississauga, Ontario and later (2012) opened the final branch in Islington, Ontario. He was a loving brother to six sisters, a husband, father, uncle and friend. His interests include spending time with friends, reading and watching movies. He devoted much of his time to his family. His smile and charm enlightened any given moment. Peter Selvam “Selva” Anthonipillai is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Jeyanthini Anthonipillai and his two daughters, Sabeena and Santhiya Anthonipillai,. He is also lived on by his six sisters – Jeyaseeli, Arulseeli, Manoseeli, Selvarani, Pushparani and Thayarani – and their children. His nieces and nephews include his Godchildren – Benedict Inpanayagam, Janany Inpanayagam, Caroline Ansley and Jonathan Vasanthan – and Janahan Inpanayagam, Athavan Thiruchelvam, Tanya Ragavan, Arun Thiruchelvam, Joshua Vasanthan, Jessica Vasanthan, Timothii Ragavan and Julia Vasanthan. Furthermore, he is survived by his grandchildren, Jordana Benedict and Elija Janahan.
