Peter   it has been one year and it is still incredibly difficult to fathom. The immensity of loss is immeasurable to both friends and family.  My love and thoughts are with Lila today and all days hereafter. My condolences are extended to your sister, friends and family.  Peter you were an incredible friend, classmate and gentleman. Hearing of Peter’s passing today moved the earth . 

For me Peter was a mensch and a great storyteller an encouraging and courageous Art Director a man that had presence vision and vast knowledge of the world and enjoyed sharing it  either over drinks ,coffee lox and bagels . 

I didn’t get to spend enough time with him .

I just saw Peter about six weeks ago and we had a great catch  up, reminiscing about our days at Marketing magazine. He never failed to make me laugh with his great wit. Peter was such a talent and a fantastic person to spend time with. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed by many.

I was saddened to hear that Peter had passed away.  We’d worked together in creative services at The Financial Post in the 90s. What I remember most about him was that he had great sense of humour and I always enjoyed his witty comments and observations. I wasn’t at all surprised that he had gotten into real estate when I ran into him a few years back. Way before prices skyrocketed,  he and Lila had bought a beautiful old house in Cabbagetown. He brought a few of us from work to see it before they did any renovations. No doubt, it would have been stunning! 

My sincere condolences to Lila and his family and friends. He’s a guy who will really be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Peter for many years. He taught me so much about the magazine industry, he was a true mentor, an incredible designer, and one of the best story tellers I’ve ever met. Forever grateful for that time together. Sending my sincere condolences to the whole family. Lila, he always spoke so fondly of you.  I’m so very sorry.

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Peter for long, working with him on a magazine just over the summer, but I am grateful to have had the chance to get to know him. He was a lovely, gracious, hard-working and creative person and I'm sure he will be missed dearly by many.

I am unable to articulate fully, the depth of your loss with Peter's passing.  To my own regret, I did not stay in touch with Peter over the last number of years, my loss.  I do have wonderful memories of watching him grow up.  Like his father, Peter was always drawing and building things at the cottages at Buckskin and Little Esson Lakes.

My deepest and most heartfelt sympathy to Lila ,Tanya (Paul) and father Mike. I also extend my condolence to all family, friends and anyone that Peter touched. He was an outstanding and loyal friend and a decent man. He was truly one of the most decent human beings I had the pleasure to know and call friend. Peter Zaver was one of the greatest guys alive. Creative, hardworking, and sensitive. He could make you laugh out loud with his wise and warm wit.  He loved cars, fine food, design, and working with his hands. I was lucky to know him and proud to call him a friend.
